A long weekend to tackle the Fisherfield 6 which is a 5 Munro and 1 Corbett tough hike.  We plan on a walk out to Shenavall Bothy on the Friday afternoon / evening (around a 2.5 hour walk in).

This will be followed by a hike around some of Scotlands most remote Munros on the Saturday, then back to the bothy and a recovery Saturday night with maybe a drink or two. Then a walk back and drive home on Sunday.

This is a big challenge as can be seen by the estimated walk time on Walk Highlands, its the same distance as the White Mounth loop that includes Lochnagar (29km) but with much wilder terrain! It is important to be well equipped with hiking and camping gear and if you’re not sure about your equipment give us a shout! By starting and finishing at the bothy and making a long weekend of it this should be an epic hike tackling the Fisherfield 6.

I’ll also keep people posted in the week running up to the trip if it looks marginal on the weather front for the challenge and we can arrange a plan b if needed. We have groups coming from Aberdeen and Edinburgh so let us know if you need help arranging car share.
