Ben Vorlich and Stuc a’Chroin
April 4 @ 9:00 am - 5:00 pm
Come and join us for a day of Munro bagging with the intention of getting to the top of Ben Vorlich and Stuc a’Chroin. We will be keeping an eye on weather and may have to abort the mission if it’s looking too wild.
However, all being well we plan on meeting on the South side of Loch Earn, where there is informal parking, at 9am. Then heading up the popular path to the top of Ben Vorlich which is a straightforward walk. Apparently the views are stunning from the top! Then if we’re still feeling good we will carry on to Stuc ‘a’Chroin but again we will reassess this. That is a more challenging walk with some steep and rocky terrain.
The route is 14.5km (9 miles) with 1145m of ascent and is estimated to day 6-7 hours. Check out the details on the Walk Highland page here.
Recommended Kit – hiking boots, lots of warm layers, waterproof trousers and jacket, hot flask of something tasty, water, snacks, sandwiches, head torch (just in case), hat and gloves.
