The Rebel PT way of life is like one (pretty big!) happy family. But with different locations across Aberdeen City and Shire, different training days and plenty of you guys; it can be hard to know who everyone is… meet-the-member, our weekly post and member Q&A, should help with some of that! This week #Rebel crew, meet Gareth Hunt!
Long-standing Rebel PT member, currently training to compete in an iron man competition, a Beast race winner, pretty decent cyclist, kinda fast runner and general prankster… Gareth works on rotation and we caught him on night shift with our #RebelforLife questionairre.
How long have you been a member at Rebel PT? I don’t know but I have a purple* buff! *purple equals 2-3 years
Which park do you train at? I have become quite fond of Duthie Park but Westburn is where the heart is. I went to Denman Park in Westhill once but it was just so easy! …And they were all quite old… (P.S did we mention Gareth has an outstanding sense of humour?! P.P.S inter-park rivalry is alive and well, but save it for the Rounders games guys!)
Give us a fun fact about you. I’m quite like a PT myself. Often you will see me at one of the local park runs helping Scott Adams try to keep up with me.
What’s your favourite Rebel PT memory? So many but not a lot that is email* (*Rebel PT website) appropriate! Joe riding an inflatable crocodile in Westburn when the park flooded is one. That was a cracker! Or maybe Hannah Carter’s ski falling off while going up a chair lift on the 2017 Rebel ski trip in February? Almost died laughing.
What’s your favourite exercise to do at bootcamp? Travelling burpee for sure. Or boxing! Who doesn’t like boxing? ;)
