It’s time to start thinking about those 2020 goals. In this list we have mud races, night races, running races, triathalons, Island races, beach races… you name the event… there’s a high chance it’s on here! Any we have forgotten please let us know! This year we have a SWEET bright pink event top too. It makes it super easy to spot rebels at events, get pics and cheer you on! Order here or let your trainer know if you’d like to get one.
9th Jan – 8th March – Aberdeenshire Duathlon Series – Kick starting in Westhill on the 12th of Jan this is a great series to get stuck into. A mix of running and biking and a great intro into duathlons for all abilities! You can sign up on the day too.
14th of March – The Mighty Deerstalker – A 10k (and a bit more) hilly trail run! This one is always such an adventure in the dark.
14th of March – Newburgh Beach Bash – If you want a decent medal and a great selection of cakes post-race get involved with this one! A 10k along the beach, currently sold out but keep your eyes peeled for ticket swaps or get your name on the waiting list.
29th of March – Run Garioch – Always great vibes at this race with the options of 5k, 10k or Half Marathon. It’s a good distance away to set yourself some targets.
5th of April – Glen Livett 10k – “…the most beautiful run in Scotland…” It really is stunning! Slightly further away but worth it for the bonnie views.
18th/19th of April – Run Balmoral – If ever there was a race weekend I would recommend it is this one. Don’t let the whispers of *the Hill* put you off. Brilliant vibe and always lots of Rebels. You can do 5k, 10k, duathlon and or 15 miler. Sign up to the Devil for all 4 and for an unforgettable weekend!
3rd of May (still to be confirmed) – Baker Hughes 10k – Another big Rebel run-event and a great one for support, atmosphere and smashing those PB’s.
23rd & 24th of May – Edinburgh Marathon Festival – It’s been voted the fastest marathon in the world before. If you don’t fancy that distance you also have the choice of 5k,10k and half marathon. You can do the marathon in a relay team which looks quite fun if you can find some team mates!
30th of May – Kayleighs Wee Stars Barra 10k – Doing a 10k while supporting a great local charity. A few Rebels have done this one before and thoroughly recommend it!
30th of May – Loch Ore Beast Race – There is a new beast race in town! Located near The Borders this is a 12km route that looks like a lot of fun. They also have the option of 6km and children races on the Sunday.
6th of June (to be confirmed) – Fraserburgh 10k – This run usually sells out and is a nice early summer 10k to do just up the road.
14th of June – Banchory 10k run – It’s a multi terrain, hilly 10k. Tough route but you can’t beat the satisfaction that comes once you cross that finish line.

Please let us know if you’d like to get involved. They have individual, pairs, quads and even unlimited teams for their 12 hour and 24 hour events.
21st of June (to be confirmed) – Westhill 10k – Another great local run. You’re bound to spot rebels running and out on the streets supporting this one! If you don’t do it for the run do it for the Rebel warm up ;) They also do free kids races from P1 to S4.
4th & 5th of July – Tough Mudder Scotland – They have a new course which is now in Edinburgh! A few people already signed up. Let us know if you’d like to join the Team!
12th of July – Chapelton of Elsick 10k – Just 10 mins down the A90 and you’ll find Elsick. Rumour has it there is a cheeky hill thrown in. They hold a 100m toddler dash and children races too.
15th of August – Isle of Coll 5k, 10k or half marathon. Our island trip this year is off to Coll. It’s worth noting that we will most likely be camping as there isn’t too much accommodation on the island. Other things to do if you don’t fancy running – diving with basking sharks, cycling around the island or checking out the beaches.
15th / 16th of August – Aberfeldy Triathalon – The option of a sprint triathlon or (ever so slightly) longer triathlon. Could be a great weekend adventure!
29th of August – Inverness Beast Race – We’ve taken part in this event for the last 2 years and it never disappoints! Let us know if you’d like to get involved!
5th of September – Glack Attack – A really fun and probably the MUDDIEST ever 5k run you could do. All about having fun with lots of natural obstacles. A great one to do in a team. It’s earlier on in the year this year so should be warmer then last year!
11th – 14th of September – The Heb Challenge – “An achievable, exciting, engaging, truly adventurous and absorbing journey through the most spectacular, wild and remote landscape the UK has to offer – the Hebridean Island chain off the west coast of Scotland!”. A few rebels have signed up to this one! Should be an ace weekend!
20th of September – Banchory Beast Race – A fun undulating 10km course and so close to home too!
29th of September (to be confirmed) – Bennachie Hill Race – Another favourite hill race which we’ve been attending since 2014! It’s got that great local feel to it with lots of cakes to enjoy afterwards which you well and truly deserve. The views at the top are epic!
Date TBC but usually around 3rd weekend of Oct – Loch Kinord 10k – if you don’t do this for the views of the Loch do it for the cheese in the goodie bag! Another race with a great local vibe.
4th of October – Loch Ness Marathon – We had a great turnout for this event last year. They also have a 10k on offer. Both are net downhill and you get the chance to spot Nessie…
18th of October – Aviemore10k & 1/2 marathon – Another great one for a PB! A lot of downhill and some beautiful scenery along the way. In 2017 we made a camping weekend of it!
18th of October (TBC) – Illuminator Night Run – They have really changed this up last year and it looks like there may be more changes to come. You currently have the option of an 8k, 15k or 15 miler around Glen Tanar.
We’re bound to have missed a couple so email us, post in the private page or speak to your trainer at bootcamp. Get signing up Rebels, it’s going to be a busy year! #RebelLife
